While our winter has been cold and snowy, the Aging Up Center has a lot of events this month to keep you warm and cozy!
Our first big event this month will be the Italian Bar fundraiser on Saturday, February 8th! Join us as we transform our dining room into an Italian kitchen serving delicious pastas and desserts! See the article in this newsletter for complete the details!
Our second big event will be the 2nd annual Senior Prom on Saturday, February 15th! Get out those dancing shoes as we enjoy an evening of music, food, and laughter! We will have a Song Request Sheet at our front desk starting on February 1st to put in your song requests to DJ Hard Rockin’ Haney! More information on the Prom can be found in this newsletter.
Our third big event will be the Snack & Sip Paint Party Fundraiser on Saturday, February 22nd! Join us for a fun afternoon snacks and painting as we chase those winter blues away! We’ll supply appetizers, drinks (non-alcoholic), and paint supplies. The cost per person is $30. See complete details later in this newsletter.
Do you have questions about using the equipment in the Michael Daugherty Exercise Room? Starting this month, one of our members, Gil Brewer, will be available once a month to show you how everything works! This month, Gil will be available for questions on Wednesday, February 19th from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
It’s double Bingos again this month! We will have Jessika Ellis from Humana hosting the Bingo on Friday, February 21st and Cynthia Grotsky from Grotsky Senior Insurance hosting the Bingo on Friday, February 28th. Bingo is held the 3rd and 4th Fridays of every month.
We will also have a Groovy 60’s themed Congregate Lunch on Wednesday, February 5th and a trip to the Alley 21 Restaurant in Hillsboro on Thursday, February 6th!
